Elderly man seriously injured in collision in Halifax

An 86-year-old man is in a potentially life-threatening condition

Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following a serious collision in Halifax, which left an elderly man in hospital.

It happened at 11.07am yesterday (13 March) on Saddleworth Road, near to the junction with Stainland Road, and involved a pedestrian and a DAF HGV.

An 86-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries which are described as potentially life-threatening.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit at West Yorkshire Police are investigating and want to hear from any witnesses or anyone with relevant footage.
