A man who admitted drink driving after veering into the path of an oncoming vehicle in Bristol is awaiting sentencing next month.

Kraig Hough, 40, from Woodville Mount, Leeds, was arrested in Bower Ashton at around 8.45pm on 28th November.

Police officers witnessed a Mazda 6 crossing over the central white line on Clanage Road and going the wrong way around a keep left sign. The vehicle narrowly avoided colliding with an oncoming car.

Officers followed the vehicle and stopped it. Hough, who was driving, tested positive for alcohol on roadside breath tests and further tests in custody.

The following day, Hough was charged with driving a motor vehicle while above the alcohol limit.

He is due to be sentenced at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on 9th January.
