Daniel Farke: Dominic Calvert-Lewin 'good enough' for England return
The striker last pulled on the national team shirt in 2021
Daniel Farke sees no reason why Dominic Calvert-Lewin cannot force his way into England boss Thomas Tuchel's World Cup plans.
Calvert-Lewin has regained form and fitness since joining Leeds on a free transfer from Everton in the summer following an injury-plagued two seasons.
He has scored five goals in 14 Premier League appearances, including four in his last four matches for Farke's relegation battlers.
Farke, whose side face Crystal Palace at Elland Road on Saturday, said: "He's done it before. He has several caps for England and quite a good goal record. His quality and potential was never in doubt.
"I don't give any advice or recommendations to Thomas (Tuchel), he knows exactly what he needs to be successful at the World Cup.
"For Dominic it's the same as every player - if you deliver with consistency, not just for a few games, you have a chance to be involved.
"For me, he's definitely one of the best English strikers in the Premier League. There is no limit for him and of course he has a chance."
Farke has no new injury concerns for the visit of Palace, but is still without midfielder Sean Longstaff (calf), winger Daniel James (hamstring) and striker Lukas Nmecha.
