Cyclist in life-threatening condition following collision on Kirkstall Road
West Yorkshire Police said the collision involved a van and pedal cycle
Part of Kirkstall Road is cordoned off, following the crash which happened around 8:50 am (Tuesday 26 August).
Emergency services remain at the scene, police said the male rider of the bike has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
They are warning motorists to avoid the area.
The full statement from West Yorkshire Police said: "Emergency services are at the scene of a serious collision involving a van and a pedal cycle on Kirkstall Road, Leeds.
"The male rider of the bike has been taken to hospital with what are described as life-threatening injuries.
"The collision was reported at 8:50am today (26/8).
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area."
