A purr-fect ending for one lucky cat in West Yorkshire, after it was rescued from a hole close to the Leeds-Liverpool Canal and reuninted with family.

The lucky moggy was spotted yesterday (August 2) stuck beside the canal.

A crew from West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue used a water rescue sled to pull the feline to safety.

The animal was then passed to Bradford Cat Watch, who were able to reunite it with its owner.
