Tributes paid to "warm and loving" 74 year old killed in Castleford crash

A 74 year old man killed in a hit and run crash in Castleford has been named as Brian McClure.
He was struck by a blue Honda Civic at around 2:45pm on Wednesday on Barnsdale Road, close to the bridge over the River Aire.
The car did not stop at the scene.
In a tribute his family said: “We are sorry to announce the loss of Brian McClure. Brian was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather."
"A kind, warm and loving man, he will be hugely missed by all. A life cruelly cut short.”
A man in his 30s who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving over the limit has been released on bail.
