Two men jailed after multi-million pound cannabis farm discovered in Bradford
The pair both admitted to producing a Class B drug
Two men have been jailed after the discovery of a multimillion pound cannabis farm in Bradford.
24 year old Sheraz Ahmed and Hung Nguyen, 65 - both of no fixed address - both admitted to production of a Class B drug.
Ahmed will spend 27 months behind bars, Nguyen 24.
It comes after police found 7,000 cannabis plants growing across 19 rooms of a building on Nelson Street in November 2024.
The plants had an estimated street value of £6.2m.
Sergeant Barry Coleman of West Yorkshire Police said:
“This was a significant and organised operation into the production of drugs right in the city centre.
“We welcome the sentence handed down; drugs have no place in our society.
“We are committed to taking drug offending seriously and the production of illegal drugs will not be tolerated in our communities.
“I would encourage anyone with information about drugs supply to contact West Yorkshire Police or Crimestoppers to support this continued disruption of those involved in the supply of drugs.”
