Tourism was worth over £1bn to Bradford's economy in 2025 - report
Bradford welcomed 12.13 million visitors in 2025, generating an economic boost of £1.08bn and supporting almost 9,000 full time jobs across the district.
Tourism brought more than £1bn into Bradford last year, with millions flocking to the city and the wider district.
This is according to figures from the latest STEAM report, which estimates the impact of the visitor economy on various arts of the UK.
It shows that Bradford welcomed 12.13 million visitors in 2025, generating an economic boost of £1.08bn and supporting almost 9,000 full time jobs across the district.
Bradford enjoyed national prominence after it was named 2025 UK City of Culture.
Day visits to the district were up 12.3% compated with 2024, with the number of visitors staying overnight up by 15.6%.
Rebecca Fitzgerald, president of Bradford Chamber of Commerce, said: “This milestone is a fantastic achievement for the district and testimony to the breadth of what the Bradford region has to offer.
“Whether it is the museums and cultural attractions, the breathtaking countryside that surrounds us and or the wonderful taste of our food and drink offering, there is no mistaking that this is a special place and one people wish to experience in growing numbers.”
