A FORMER nightclub just yards from Bradford Live has failed to sell at auction.

The Love Apple on Great Horton Road had a £140,000 guide price when it was listed in an online property auction last week.

The building in close to two of the biggest cultural venues in the city – Bradford Live and the Alhambra Theatre.

Despite the building’s prominence it failed to sell at the December 10 Pugh property auction, and is still available for purchase.

The listing said: “The premises, measuring 3,861 sq ft, comprises of a three storey stone clad building under a pitched tiled roof, plus extensions.

“The ground floor area is fitted out as a nightclub/bar, with the upper floors having been used for storage.

“The building may lend itself to a variety of other uses, subject to the necessary planning consents.”

At its height the Love Apple was one of the most popular student haunts in Bradford.
