Three men have been jailed for a combined 16 years for their involvement in the sale of Class A drugs in the Barkerend area of Bradford.

It follows a police raid in Maty 2024 on a property in the Hill Side Road area, after a tip off from a member of the public.

Three men were charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs after drugs worth over £72,000 were discovered.

Syed Miah, 49 and of Hill Side Terrace, was jailed for 3 years and 7 months at Bradford Crown Court.

46 year old Mohammed Khan of Hill Side Road was jailed for 5 years and 7 months.

Zaffar Shafi, aged 57, of Sunny Bank Avenue was jailed for 7 years.

PC Georgia Stafford, of West Yorkshire Police, said:

“This is a fantastic result for the Bradford East area. We know that drug dealing and organised crime has a devastating impact on communities in our area.

“I would like to thank the community for providing us with intelligence into the supply of drugs, which has enabled these arrests and subsequent convictions.

“We would continue to encourage the community to continue to contact ourselves via 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers with intelligence so further criminals can be brought to justice.”
