The robbery took place at around 4.58pm on Monday (January 5), on Avenue Retail Park in Weaverthorpe Road.

Two men wearing balaclavas and armed with a machete and sledgehammer entered the store, threatening staff, smashing display cabinets, and stealing items of jewellery along with a till containing cash.

No-one was injured during the incident, but staff were left shaken by the events.
