Leeds-based Asda brings back Puffin - 30 years after High Court fight against Penguin

Leeds-based Asda has relaunched its own-brand Puffin bar, almost 30 years after it was taken to the High Court over the product.
In 1997 the makers of the rival Penguin biscuit alleged the treat was too similar and launched a copyright infringement case.
The court found the Puffin's packaging and branding was too similar to Penguin, though Asda was allowed to keep the name if it re-designed the packaging.
The treat was ultimately discontinued a few years later, but has now been revived.
An Asda spokesperson said: “Customers are proud of finding a brilliant own-brand swap, especially when it saves them money and still tastes great."
