Man arrested after nine-year-old girl from West Yorkshire dies in Scotland
Her death is being treated as suspicious
A 35-year-old man has been arrested following the death of a nine-year-old girl from West Yorkshire in Arbroath, Scotland
Officers were called to Elliot Industrial Estate shortly after midnight on 3rd August 2026, where they found the girl with serious injuries.
She was rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, but died of her injuries.
The death is being treated as suspicious and its understood the man and the girl were known to each other.
Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with her death.
The other members of the family, who are from West Yorkshire amd were camping in the area, are being supported by specialist officers.
