Appeal after man seriously injured in Leeds city centre assault

Detectives in Leeds are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault in the city centre last month.c

This happened shortly before midnight on December 5, at East Parade near Greek Street, close to Manahatta and All Bar One.

A man in his 20s was knocked unconscious after being punched and was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries.

The suspect is believed to have walked away from the scene along Greek Street to Park Row.

A 31-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested in connection to the incident and has been released on bail.

Police are seeking the assistance of anyone who was in the area, which was busy with both traffic and pedestrians, and may have witnessed the assault or possess relevant footage.
