American man living in Leeds charged with terrorism offences
The 33 year old is due in court in London next week
An American man residing in Leeds has been charged with eleven terrorism-related offences.
33 year old Jason Symons, of Swarcliffe, was charged with nine counts of collecting records of information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.
He also faces two counts of dissemination of terrorist publications.
Symons was arrested on 29th January 2025 as part of an operation by Counter Terrorism Policing North East.
He is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on March 17.
