Police investigating suspicious death in Lowestoft name woman in her 40's

Police investigating the suspicious death of a woman in Lowestoft are now able to name the deceased.

Officers were called by the Ambulance Service at just after 7.10am on Saturday 1 March, reporting the sudden death of a woman at a flat in London Road South.

The death continues to remain unexplained, after the results of an initial Home Office post-mortem held on Sunday 2 March were inconclusive. Further tests have been requested and officers await the results of these.

Subject to confirmation at formal inquest proceedings, the deceased has been identified as Kelly-Marie Anderson-Fisher, aged 45 and from Lowestoft.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the death, but it is being treated as an isolated incident.

A 49-year-old man from Lowestoft was arrested on suspicion of murder on 1 March.

He was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and subsequently released on bail until Friday 30 May, pending further enquiries.
