One of Norfolk's most celebrated talents has offered her support to a local organisation that wants to see the county used as a backdrop for television and film.

Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman is now the patron of Norfolk Screen, which that helps to bring film and TV productions to the region.

Having grown up in Norwich the Hollywood star, who is well known for her roles in the Favourite, Broadchurch, and the Crown says the wider county offers stunning scenery and welcoming communities that inspire filmmakers:

"Norfolk has always held a cinematic charm, and filmmakers who come here quickly realise just how much this region has to offer: the extraordinary light, the quiet drama of its landscapes, and the passion of communities who welcome and support productions with such enthusiasm.

"I’m thrilled to be a patron of Norfolk Screen, who are helping to bring more stories here and championing a place that inspires me a place that truly deserves to be seen on screen”.
