A local charity tells us it's giving out easter eggs to all of the people they support- over this coming weekend.

It comes as Norwich Foodbank has been a slight decrease on the number of people they're supporting, this year.

"That's just too many"

Hannah Worsley is project manager there:

"So in 2025 vs 2024, there was a 16% or 17% decrease on that need- and we know all of that is being driven by our partner work.

"That all being said, we still gave out food for over ten thousand people, during that time. That's just too many.

"Donations have been a little higher as well, which is really great to see. We've got some really generous contributions coming in from lots of different collection points and from some local businesses and churches, as well, which is great.

"Summer is quite often our quietest time for donations- so it's really important that people know we're still here and to want to make sure that we can continue to keep up with demand.

The charity is also giving out easter eggs to all of the people they support- over this coming weekend:

"It's exactly the same we when we give out advent calendars, where people expect it all to be basic and just to have the essentials. Of course, it has all of that- but being able to put a bit of chocolate in there is great.
