Norwich City supporter Andy Wall will be celebrated at Wembley Stadium during the Sky Bet EFL Play-Offs this year as his remarkable survival story takes centre stage.

In the stands where thousands will cheer on their teams between 23rd and 25th May, a tribute to Wall will remind them of his miraculous survival after suffering a cardiac arrest at Norwich’s Carrow Road stadium.

Wall, now 45, collapsed moments before half-time in August 2023 while celebrating a Norwich City goal with his daughter.

Thanks to the swift actions of paramedics, who administered CPR for more than 10 minutes, Wall's life was saved.

To highlight the significance of immediate CPR, Wembley’s stands are being temporarily renamed as part of the Every Minute Matters campaign, aimed at encouraging fans to learn this vital skill.

Wall's story is one of four being commemorated, spotlighting courageous actions taken both by those who step in to deliver CPR and those who have lived to tell the tale.

The initiative, backed by Sky Bet and the British Heart Foundation (BHF), celebrates ordinary people making extraordinary contributions when every second truly counts.

As part of the campaign, over 520,000 fans have already been inspired to start learning CPR through the BHF’s online RevivR tool, highlighting the importance of quick response in cardiac emergencies.

Embodied by stories like Andy Wall's, the campaign seeks to foster a nation of lifesavers by engaging the public in learning CPR, a skill that takes just 15 minutes to acquire—similar to the length of a football match’s half-time.

Fans can explore the BHF's RevivR tool online, accessible at revivr.bhf.org.uk, as a step towards readiness in emergencies.

Andy Wall’s experiences, alongside those of others being honoured, serve as poignant reminders of the impact an immediate lifesaving response can have.
