Man jailed for violent attack in Wisbech pub
He punched and stamped on the unconscious victim
A man has been sentenced to 14 months in jail for his involvement in a violent incident at the Wheatsheaf Inn in Wisbech shortly before Christmas.
Kyle Harris, 36, participated in an altercation in the pub's outdoor area on 23rd December, alongside a woman, targeting another man.
The victim was punched multiple times and stamped on while unconscious.
Emergency services were alerted, and the victim was transported to the hospital, receiving treatment for facial and head injuries.
Officers later found Harris nearby on the same day and took him into custody.
He pleaded guilty to charges of affray but denied grievous bodily harm without intent, with the latter charge being kept on file.
On 25th February at Cambridge Crown Court, Harris was sentenced to 14 months behind bars.
DC Lauren McKeever remarked, "There is no place for violence like this in Wisbech."
"Harris’ actions were shameful. I’m pleased he was apprehended nearby and has now appeared in court to answer for his behaviour."
