Fourth man charged with manslaughter after death of Matthew Griggs

A fourth man has been located by Norfolk police and charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Matthew Griggs.

Daniel Carroll, aged 28, and of no fixed address was arrested on Friday (28 March 2025) and charged with manslaughter.

Police were called to Church Lane, Sprowston on the morning of 23 September 2023 where the body of a man in his 30s was discovered.

Andrew Gough, aged 47 and of Bussey Road, Norwich, John McDonnell, aged 43 and of Recorder Road, Norwich and Jonathon Bristow, aged 45 and of Trafalgar Street, Norwich, were all arrested and charged with manslaughter last week.

All four men have been released on conditional bail and are due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on 29 April 2025.
