A father and son from Norfolk are due to arrive home today (2 May) after completing a 13-month charity challenge - cycling across 30 countries around the world.

George and Josh Kohler set off from their hometown in Halvergate on 25 March 2025, and embarked on the 30,000 km adventure, over 400 days.

Over a year later, their journey comes to the end today - when they hope to secure a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The pair have raised nearly £50,000 for their two chosen charities, UNICEF and 'bicycle links' - a Norfolk based business dedicated to making cycling accessible to all and promoting positive mental health and awareness.

After being away for so long, George said he has mixed feeling about being back in the UK:

"Its excitement to be back home and with family and friends, but there's also a sense off loss, because the journey's about to come to and end."

Both father and son said that they have learnt a lot about each other, and themselves during this journey.

"It has given us a far greater understanding of each other, we are more aware of our strengths and weaknesses," said George.

"Having shared such testing times together, we are far closer than we ever have been before."

Despite the highs and lows of the journey, the pair said they would do it again.

Today (2 May) will see the final 25km of the challenge completed, from Whitlingham Country Park to Halvergate.

There are also plans for a homecoming party to celebrate their success.
