Elderly woman critical after crash near Wisbech

A woman in her 80s is in a critical condition in hospital following a crash near Wisbech.

Norfolk Police say the collision happened on Monday (23rd February) at around 5pm when a silver VW Polo veered off Black Bear Lane at the junction with Burrett Road, coming to a stop in an orchard.

The injured driver was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with life-threatening injuries and is currently in a critical condition.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
