Employees at a double-glazing company placed a wager on who would sleep with a saleswoman first, an employment tribunal has heard.

Molly Craigie alleged she was told in December 2022 by a colleague that managers and other workers at East Anglia Home Improvements had a bet on "who could bed me first".

The tribunal was told that Ms Craigie was responsible for visiting leads and seeking to confirm contracts for the firm.

In a written statement, she told the tribunal: "It was the first time I felt my colleagues, one of which was a member of management, sexualised me and singled me out, all down to my sex."

Tribunal Judge Rebecca Peer, sitting at the Watford Employment Tribunal, said she accepted Ms Craigie's evidence, but added that there was "no information or evidence to suggest that she directly confronted anyone about the wager or sought further information".

Discussing the wager, Judge Peer said: "I find there is no reason not to find her credible as to this.

"I find that any such wager is unwanted conduct of a sexual nature, although it is difficult to reach secure findings about whether and when this conduct was occurring and who it concerned, other than that this was prior to or around December 2022."

Ms Craigie's complaint of constructive dismissal was dismissed by the tribunal as it was brought "just under three months out of time".

The tribunal ordered the home improvements company to pay her £4,775.92 in respect of holiday pay.
