Bereaved mum rolling out more bleed kits in Norfolk & Suffolk
Margaret Oakes son, Raymond James Quigley was stabbed to death in Ipswich by two men three years ago, today
A local mum tells us she's rolling out more bleed kits here, in memory of her son who was killed three years ago.
Raymond James Quigley was stabbed to death in Ipswich by two men who have been handed life sentences.
One is being installed at North Walsham High School- where his mum Margaret Oakes lives.
A tribute to Raymond is also going up at the card shop in Ipswich's Westgate Street, where James was fatally stabbed back in 2023.
""They are to be used for any catastrophic bleed out"
"These kits are not just for something like what happened to James. They could be used to help somebody who's been in a car accident or had a fall, even down to helping somebody with varicose veins.
"They are to be used for any catastrophic bleed out, which give people the vital minutes they need to survive before the emergency services can get to them.
"We'll continue to roll-out control the bleed kits to the public, to save a life in James' memory and name.
"Beyond this we'll also be doing some training on the bleed kits and raising awareness about them further".
