Police have launched an investigation after a woman was shot at an address in Dudley.
Officers were called to reports of a firearms discharge at an address in Priory Road, Dudley, just after midnight today (3rd July).
Two shots were fired at an address, and a woman was hit by one of the shots. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where she remains.
West Midlands Police said:
"We understand the concern in the community this incident will raise. Officers will remain in the area and be carrying out reassurance patrols.
"Our investigators are carrying out enquiries to identify who’s involved.
"The road remains closed this morning.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident, or may have dash cam or doorbell footage, is asked to get in touch with us via 101, quoting log 66 of 3 July.
