Four teenagers have been charged following reports of a group of youths running around with knives in Wolverhampton city centre.

Officers received calls just before 4.45pm on Saturday (21st March) that the group were carrying weapons near shops in Queen Street.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested shortly after in North Street.

Officers then found a lock knife in the area and seized it.

Three more youths, aged 15, 18 and 19, were arrested in Darlington Street just before 5pm.

Dimitri King, aged 19 and Emadul Mannan, aged 18 have both been charged with making threats with a weapon in a public place.

The other two 15-year-olds have been charged with the same offence but cannot be named because of their ages.
