Police investigate after teenager is shot in Wolverhampton

A 19-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being shot in the leg in Wolverhampton.
Emergency services were called to Peel Street Car park yesterday afternoon (12th October).
An investigation has been launched and an increased police presence is to be expected in the city centre.
A West Midlands police spokesperson said, "We’re investigating after a man was shot in Wolverhampton.
"We were called by paramedics to the Peel Street Car Park just before 4.40pm yesterday.
"The 19-year-old was shot in the leg and remains in hospital today with serious injuries.
"Detectives are working to establish exactly where the shooting happened, and officers remain at the scene today.
"There will be an increased police presence in the city centre today, and we would urge anyone with information to get in touch via 101, quoting log 2744."
