Wellington Station Building Works - September 2025
Building works are due to start on the 8th of September at Wellington Station and are due to take approximately a month.
The station buildings at Wellington were built nearly 200 years ago and while this gives them their distinctive charm, it also means that they are in need of a little TLC now and again.
These works are expected to start on Monday 8th September and take approximately 1 month.
In partnership with Network Rail and contractors, the undertaking essential maintenance works within “behind-the-scenes” areas of the building to help ensure that it remains standing for another 200 years.
For the duration of the works:
- The ticket office will be un-maned and unavailable
- Enclosed waiting areas and waiting rooms may also be unavailable
- The station team will not be available at the station
