Over 70 firefighters tackle major blaze in Birmingham

A fire has broken out in the Greet area of Birmingham overnight.

Over 70 firefighters have been tackling a major blaze in the Greet area of Birmingham overnight.

It broke out at around 7:10pm yesterday (7 Jan) at a carpet storage unit on the Tyseley Industrial Estate on Steeleys Road.

West Midlands Fire Service said it involves 100% of the two-storey building.

14 fire engines and 75 crew members were on the scene at its peak.

Locals are being asked to keep windows and doors closed.
