Two teenagers seriously injured after car goes into wall in Sandwell

Three teenager boys were involved in the collision that happened in Smethwick, Sandwell, yesterday (19 Jan).

Three teenagers have been involved in a collision in Smethwick, Sandwell, in which a car crashed into a wall.

One of the boys was sent to hospital with serious injuries, while a second is being treated for potentially serious injuries. The third, who was the driver, was assessed at the scene and discharged.

It happened at the junction of Booth Street and Anne Road at around 7:30pm yesterday (19 Jan).

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found three patients. The first of whom, a teenage boy, was treated for serious injuries and conveyed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, under emergency driving conditions.

“A second teenage boy was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.

“A third teenage boy, the driver, was assessed for injuries not thought to be serious. He was discharged at scene with selfcare advice.”
