Two young men from Wolverhampton have been jailed for a total of nearly 80 years for opening fire on people outside a bar in the city.

Shaun Andrews, 24, and DeShaun White, 22, were convicted at Wolverhampton Crown Court of three counts of attempted murder, and possessing a firearm with the intent to endanger life.

Shots were fired from a black Seat Ibiza car towards a crowd on Frederick Street at around 11pm on 27 September 2024.

Three women, injured in the shooting, are said to be still recovering.

Following the incident, the car headed to Nottingham before returning to Wolverhampton, where it was stopped by police.

Andrews fled the scene and went to Scotland, and was later arrested.

Shaun Andrews, 24, was jailed for 40 years at Wolverhampton Crown Court

Detective Inspector Rachael Allen, from West Midlands Police's Major Crime Unit, said: "Gun crime is a danger that we cannot tolerate on our streets.
