Two men charged after gun and drugs seized in Sandwell

Heroin and crack cocaine have also been discovered

Two men have been charged after a gun, ammunition and Class A drugs were found in Sandwell.

West Midlands Police arrested a 23-year-old man in Arthur Road, Tipton - after pursuing a stolen vehicle on Monday 5th May.

During searches in the immediate area a viable firearm, ammunition, heroin and crack cocaine were discovered

Tammem Miah, from Tipton, has now been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, having Class A drugs with intent to supply, receiving stolen goods and driving offences.

He was remanded to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (7th May).

Mohammed Ahmed, 22, from Tipton, was also arrested and since been charged with possession of drugs with intent to supply.

He is also due to appear before magistrates today

West Midlands Police said:

"We're committed to taking weapons and drugs off the streets as part of Operation Target".
