Police have launched an appeal after a crash in Upton, Worcestershire.

Two people were rushed to hospital with potentially serious injuries - following the incident on Monday.

In a statement, West Mercia Police said: "Officers investigating a collision in Upton, which happened on Monday (31 March), are appealing for witnesses.

"Around 1.20pm a white VW Caddy collided with a tree on the B4211, Hanley Road, between Upton and Hanley Castle.

"A man and woman were taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries.

"Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police is asked to contact PC Rory Grint-Smith by emailing [email protected].

"Alternatively information can be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously by ringing 0800 555 111 or visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
