Three people have been arrested following the death of a woman after she was hit by a van at Aston Wood Golf Club.

A 51-year-old man from Bloxwich was arrested yesterday (16th Apr) on suspicion of murder.

Police also arrested a 22-year-old man from Dudley on suspicion of manslaughter and assisting an offender. A 41-year-old man from Worcester was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All three remain in custody.

62-year-old Suzanne Cherry from Aldridge died in hospital on Tuesday (15th Apr) after she was hit by the van at 10.25am last Friday (11 Apr).

Police are still looking for a man that was seen leaving the golf club on foot after the collision.

West Midlands Police are being investigated by the Independent Office for Police Conduct in relation to their involvement prior to the incident.

It is thought police had been chasing the van before it hit Suzanne Cherry, as the vehicle had been involved in reports of suspicious activity.

Staffordshire Police say they are appealing for dashcam or CCTV footage of Blake Street and Birmingham Road between Sutton Coldfield and Shenstone prior to the incident.
