Teenager in hospital after being shot in Birmingham
The incident happened last night
A teenage boy has been shot in a park in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police attended the scene at Ward End Park near the Foxton Road entrance, just before 10pm on Friday.
The 15-year-old was taken to hospital with gunshot injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Detective Superintendent Ryan Chambers, from our MCU, said: "This appears to be an isolated incident and there will be an increased police presence in the area to assist with the investigation and reassure the community."
