Teenager charged with murder of Yassin Alama

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Yassin Alama, who was stabbed to death in Handsworth on 16 November.

The teenager, who can't be named for legal reasons, was arrested from a property in Birmingham on Sunday.

He has also been charged with possession of a bladed article.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed.

West Midlands Police say Yassin's family have been updated on the latest developments.
