An 18-year-old from Solihull has been charged with multiple offences after stolen bikes were discovered during a Guardian Taskforce patrol in Chelmsley Wood.

On Friday, officers from the Project Taskforce spotted a suspected stolen moped being driven along Over Green Drive.

After arresting the rider, enquiries led to the discovery of another bike reported stolen in December.

Brayden Hughes, the arrested teenager, has been charged with handling stolen goods, taking a motor vehicle without consent, driving without a licence, and lacking insurance.

He has been bailed and is scheduled to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on 6th August.
