Teenager arrested after another teen was fatally stabbed in Smethwick

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after a teenager was fatally stabbed in Smethwick on Friday evening.

Zeshan Afzal, aged 18 was discovered with serious stab wounds following disorder on Oldbury Road just before 9pm on 20 February. He was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

As part of the police investigation, officers have now arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning.

Enquires are continuing and Police are urging anyone who has not yet spoken to them to come forward.
