A man has been charged following a crash in Birmingham in which a man was killed and the car left the scene.

A man has been charged following a fatal collision in Birmingham, after which the car left the scene.
A man and a woman were struck on Soho Road at around 11:20am on Tuesday (16 Dec). The man, 54, died at the scene, whilst the 47-year-old woman remains in hospital with leg injuries.
Harinderpal Athwal, 41, from Oldbury, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop, and causing death by driving while disqualified and uninsured.
He's also accused of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to report a road collision.
He is due at Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
West Midlands Police said: "We're continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the collision, near the junction with Whitehall Road, shortly before 11.20am.
If you have information, dashcam or mobile footage which could assist us call us on 101, quoting incident number 1819 of 16 December."
