Six arrested after teenage girl threatened in Coventry

Police have arrested six people following reports of threats being made to a teenage girl in Coventry.

Officers were called just after 6pm on Thursday (1 January) to a property in Terry Road.

Five teenagers were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm.

A woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

West Midlands Police said investigations were continuing with searches being carried out.

A large knife was recovered and is being forensically examined.

Five teenage boys, aged 15 to 19, and woman aged 47, remain in police custody.
