Police seek witnesses following fatal collision in Birmingham
A 22-year-old man has been arrested
West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Birmingham, on Dartmouth Middleway, resulted in the death of a 28-year-old woman.
The incident occurred just before 2.30am today when the pedestrian was struck by a black Audi RS Q8.
Despite efforts by officers and ambulance personnel at the scene, the woman sadly succumbed to her injuries.
A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs.
He remains in custody for questioning.
West Midlands Police are urging anyone who was in the area during the time of the incident or who might have relevant dash cam footage to come forward.
