Police have launched a murder investigation in Birmingham after a man died following an attack in King's Heath.

Craig Dean was found with serious injuries in Springfield Road at around 5pm on Monday (7 July). He died yesterday (9 July).

A 26-year-old has been bailed as police enquiries continue.

Detective Inspector Dan Jarratt, who is now leading the investigation, said: "A man has sadly died and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this awful time.

"We're working to establish exactly what happened, and who was involved.

"There were people in the area at the time who we need to speak with, and we believe there are others who can help us. We'd ask them to contact us as soon as possible.

"Any information you have could be vital in bringing justice for Mr Dean and his family."
