Three injured in head-on collision in Aston, Birmingham
A man, a woman, and a girl have been injured in a head-on collision in Aston.
A woman and a girl have been seriously injured after being involved in a collision on the A34 Perry Barr Expressway underpass near Birchfield Road at about 8:30 last night (5 Jan).
A man - the driver of the other car - was also taken to hospital with injuries deemed to be less serious.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “When emergency services arrived, they found two cars which had been involved in a head on collision.
“The driver of one car, a woman, was assessed by ambulance staff who administered trauma care to her serious injuries. She was conveyed on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further emergency treatment.
“A girl, a passenger from the same car, also sustained serious injuries. She too received trauma care by the team before she was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for specialist care.
“The driver of the second car, a man, suffered less serious injuries but required further treatment at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.”
