Man left seriously injured in Birmingham

Police are appealing for information after a man was left seriously injured when he was stabbed in Birmingham last night.

Officers were called to Ashville Avenue, Hodge Hill, at around 11.50pm yesterday (25 August).

The man, in his 30s, had suffered a number of injuries, and remains in hospital today where his condition is believed to be life-threatening.

At this stage, police believe it to be a targeted attack.

Officers remain at the scene today as they carry out CCTV and house-to-house enquiries.
