A football thug who kicked a boy in the face during disorder in Solihull town centre has been jailed.
Camron Brockman lashed out at the 16-year-old while he was stricken on the ground.
The teenager was left with nasty facial injuries as a result of the attack ahead of an FA Cup game between Solihull Moors and Maidstone United last November.
The 20-year-old was serving a football banning order at the time of the violence so should have been nowhere near the fixture.
Brockman, from Kent, pleaded guilty to wounding during a hearing at Birmingham Crown Court last month.
He also admitted a separate offence of affray in Southend - again ahead of football - back in 2023.
He was sentenced to a total of two years and 11 months imprisonment yesterday (7 August).
Brockman also received a fresh seven-year Football Banning Order.
PC Stuart Ward, from West Midlands Police football unit, said: "Brockman came to Solihull knowing he was banned from attending the fixture and committed a violent attack in the town centre before the game.
"He kicked the boy so hard he sustained really nasty facial injuries.
"We won't tolerate any kind of violence and thanks to the support of the public in providing information, and our colleagues at Kent Police, we were able to identify him. He has now rightly lost his freedom."
