Man fatally stabbed in Acocks Green described by family as 'kind and deeply cherished'
Detectives appeal for information after Chris Ikouara was fatally injured
Detectives are appealing for information following the fatal stabbing of Chris Ikouara, aged 19, in Acocks Green yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a property on Olton Boulevard East just before 2pm, where Chris had sustained serious injuries.
Despite efforts from paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Chris's family, supported by specialist officers, paid a heartfelt tribute, saying his “caring nature, humour, and the way he always looked out for the people he loved” will forever be remembered.
They described him as a “son, a brother, an uncle and a friend,” adding that his “cheeky smile and goofy laugh will be missed.”
Detective Superintendent Jim Munro confirmed that officers are pursuing several lines of enquiry to find the individuals involved.
“Specialist officers have been working through the night and following several lines of enquiry as we work to find who was involved.
“Our thoughts remain with Chris’s family, friends, and loved ones and we are continuing to offer them our full support.
“We are now appealing for the public’s help with our investigation, and I would urge anyone with information – no matter how small it may seem – to please contact us immediately.
“We understand the concern this has caused in the local community, and local officers are there for you, carrying out reassurance patrols and ready to listen to any concerns you may have.”
