Man dies after early hours crash in Smethwick
Victim was driver of a car that collided with a tree
A man's died after a crash at Smethwick in the early hours today (Thu 4th June).
West Midlands Ambulance Service tell us they were called to a road traffic accident at Oldbury Road at 12.46am where a car had collided with a tree.
The driver was rescued by fire crews in a critical condition but despite the best efforts of paramedics died at the scene.
