Man charged over Birmingham nightclub incident

Police have charged a man with attempted murder after a number of people were injured when a car was driven at a crowd outside a Birmingham nightclub last year.

Mohammed Suffi, aged 22, is also accused of violent disorder and dangerous driving in connection with the incident.

He was charged yesterday and remanded in custody to appear before city magistrates today (3 June).

We were called to disorder in Livery Street at around 3am on 4 October.

A number of people were injured when a car was driven at a group outside The Tunnel nightclub.

The car was then driven away from the scene. It’s believed six people were injured in all, and five were taken to hospital.

Three other Birmingham men have also now been charged with violent disorder.

Daanyal Hussain, 20, Armaan Abid, 23, and Mustafa Gohari, 21, will appear before the same court on 20 June.
