Man charged following a stabbing in Walsall

A man has been charged with wounding and possession of a bladed article after a man was stabbed in Walsall.

Tibor Konstantin, aged 21, from Walsall, was remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (4th July).

It follows a stabbing on Stafford Street at around 8.30am on Wednesday.

A man received a a number of stab injuries and was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

West Midlands Police said:

"We continue to appeal for witnesses and people with information, especially mobile phone or dashcam footage, to contact us on 101 quoting log number 1144 of 2 July.

"Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
